Paul "Coffee" Annan was a champion professional Five-Bar Gate player. He was married and had a son.
History[]
Annan was the Five-Bar Gate champion of Northern Isshuria for decades. Every year after he turned pro, Cerebus would lose in the finals at Moosehat Gardens to Annan, except twice. The first time, Annan broke his ankle in an earlier match, so Cerebus had no problem eliminating his no-name opponent in the finals. The second time, Annan died in the middle of the match, leading to Cerebus' retirement from the sport.[1]

Annan's name is based on the names of former hockey player Paul Coffey and Kofi Annan, the late former Secretary-General of the United Nations.
